Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received a delegation from the Canadian-Kurdish Friendship Group of the Canadian Parliament on Tuesday.
The delegation included Conservative MP Ziad Aboultaif and Liberal MP Ahmed Hussen, former Minister of International Development and former Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship.
The delegation provided an overview of their activities within the Canadian Parliament and outlined the objectives of their visit, which focused on further strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and Canada. They reaffirmed Canada’s commitment to deepening cooperation with the Kurdistan Region across a range of sectors and expressed their support for expanding bilateral engagement.
Prime Minister Masrour Barzani warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed his appreciation for Canada’s longstanding support and partnership with the Kurdistan Region. He reaffirmed the Kurdistan Region’s commitment to further enhancing ties with Canada and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
