Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) — Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Iraq, Daniel Krebber, on Monday.
They underscored the importance of further strengthening the relationship between the Kurdistan Region and Germany across a wide range of areas, and enhancing bilateral coordination.
Prime Minister Barzani expressed his appreciation to Germany and the international coalition for their assistance and support to the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
Ambassador Krebber reaffirmed Germany’s continued commitment to supporting and coordinating with the Kurdistan Region, and including the Peshmerga in any future bilateral understandings reached between Germany and Iraq.
They also exchanged views on developments in Iraq and the wider region.
