Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today received Anıl Bora İnan, Ambassador of Türkiye to Iraq.
In the meeting, which was also attended by Erman Topçu, Consul General of Türkiye in the Kurdistan Region, they emphasized the importance of further advancing relations between the Kurdistan Region and Türkiye, particularly in trade. In this regard, they highlighted the importance of the Prime Minister’s successful visit to Türkiye last month and his meetings with the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and other senior officials.
They exchanged views on the developments in Iraq and discussed the importance of supporting the new federal government in addressing outstanding issues and confronting current challenges.
They also discussed the importance of developing Iraq’s energy sector and ensuring the continuation of Iraqi and Kurdistan Region oil exports through Türkiye’s Ceyhan port. They emphasized the need to increase oil production, boost public revenues, and improve Iraq’s financial situation.
